Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to design, order and enjoy a Radikal Neon sign. We are working to make this website easy to use with a keyboard, screen readers, zoom and other assistive technology.

The standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA (opens in a new tab).

Current status

This website partially meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In October 2026 we had the site independently audited and fixed many of the issues it found, including form labels and error messages, the sign builder's text box and options, and the homepage video. Some parts still need work; they are listed below.

Known issues

We know about these problems and are working on them.

  • Some text does not have enough colour contrast to be easy to read, including our bright pink links and buttons, some light grey text, white text on light blue or rainbow backgrounds, and some colour names written on light colour swatches. Zooming in or your device's high-contrast settings can help in the meantime.
  • In the sign builder, colouring individual letters a different colour needs a mouse or touch screen. The rest of the builder works with a keyboard.
  • Some older photos in our gallery have automatically generated descriptions that may not fully describe the sign. We are writing proper descriptions for each photo.
  • The lightbox builder and the Dream Neon Generator have not yet been fully reviewed, and some of their options may not be announced clearly by screen readers.

If something on our website is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please email hello@radikalneon.com or call 09 214 1309. It helps if you can tell us:

  • the web address (URL) of the page
  • what you were trying to do and what went wrong
  • the device, browser and any assistive technology you use (for example a screen reader or voice control)

We will reply within 2 business days, and we will help you place your order another way if you need to.

How we test

We check the site with automated accessibility tools and by hand: using only a keyboard, with screen readers, and zoomed in to 200% and 400%. We review this statement and re-test the site at least once a year, and whenever we fix a known issue.

Third-party content

Some parts of the site come from other companies, such as our live chat, reCAPTCHA spam protection, payment forms (Stripe, PayPal and Afterpay), Google reviews and our Instagram gallery. We choose accessible providers where we can, but we do not control their code. If one of them blocks you, contact us and we will help you directly.
